Hello all,
 
I am Carl Jolley. My full-time job (and then some) is Manager of Computer
Services at the Regional Computer Center (RCC) of Cincinnati and Hamilton
County, Ohio, USA. A recent project that I have been working on that made
ids an interesting area for me to check out is the implemenation of a
firewall to allow an Internet connection between the internal networks of
the city, the county and the police in a secure manner. Our initial plan
is to provide only e-mail (based on a cc:Mail to SMTP gateway) and
internally initiated telnet. We will be using the Gauntlet product from
TIS running on a Pentium-based BSDI PC.
