Hello, I don't really believe in introductions on mailing lists, but
here goes.

I have worked for BBN (with brief stints elsewhere) since 1975,
primarily in UNIX, distributed systems, and multiprocessor systems.

I am currently working for a group that installs internet services in
primary and secondary schools. Schools have neither the staff nor the
budget to devote to watching their systems, so a fairly automatic
process with low or no licensing fees is interesting to me.

(A *different* part of BBN also sells internet services and an internet
security baby-sitter service. While I talk to those people, I'm not
one of them.)
