Uh, Fred? You've made the point about your book and your classes.
Could you end it now? Many people on the list, myself included, have
written books, in print or pending, that might be appropriate. Many
people on the list work for companies with commercial offerings.
Several of us are academics with research agenda to "sell". Up until
you joined the list, no one was pushing their particular products on
the list. That was nice.
Being proud of your book, and letting us know it may be useful to us,
was fine. I appreciate that, and I'm sure others on the list do too.
But only once, please? Before all the other authors and vendors and
consultants on this list decide they also have to flog their creations
a dozen times a week to keep up.... That would kill the usefulness of
the list, minimal though it has been.
