I am a consultant, based in Europe, with clients in various industries -
banking, manufacturing, and also a museum. My main concentration is on
understanding my clients' needs and defining formal requirements, that can then
be used as an RFP from potential contractors.

One of my clients, an investment bank, is currently engaged in a complete
overhaul of their EDP systems. Despite my recommendation that they hire a
security expert, they decided to ask me to advise them on issues of data
security and safety. Having learnt a good deal in the last few months from more
traditional sources (books mainly), joining this list is another step in the
education of a (not so young) security specialist.
