After a six year hiatus as a lawyer and law student, I've returned
to my original calling--computers (I have a B.S. in Comp.Sci. from the
University of Miami, Florida). I am currently working as a web site
designer/administrator and system administrator for a small company.
I have a deep interest in computer security and artificial
intelligence, particularly in the convergence of the two fields,
sparked by readings in both areas -- Cheswick and Bellovin's
"Firewalls", Stoll's "Cuckoo's Egg", Bart Kosko's fuzzy logic works,
and AI pioneers like Von Neumann, Conway, and Wolfram.
The beauty of the Internet is that it took me only a few minutes to
go from "AI and security--what a weird thought" to finding a variety of
like-minded people. Well, it's really not a weird thought, except most
people around here respond with blank stares when I bring up the
subject :) . If I can be of any assistance, let me know.
