Pat and others, As I stated in the e-mail with this message, I provided this to both the CERT and the DoD ASSIST teams for investigation and response as to if this was a valid threat. I included the DoD ASSIST response with the posting. The Cert team acknowledge receipt and that was all. I waited what I thought was an appropriate amount of time (and even sent the e-mail twice) for a response but having received nothing other than was was provided to you, decided it would be better to alert you folks than continue to delay. I agree that someone is opening themselves up to suit, assuming you can find them, prove it etc. I suspect that is why they stated that the e-mail address is subject to change. Also, having dealt with law enforcement agencies before, if they are investigating this (and I hope they are), they won't say anything about it. Again, the ASSIST folks had seen this before and it looks like they believe it enough to prepare for a rough year. If someone can provide confirmation on the threat I certainly would appreciate it, also.
