Introduction (egads! not another flippin ...)

Sure, like you're all going to read this. Like it really matters who
the blazes I am! Like any of you are going to remember me, anyway.
Well, it's not MY list, so I really should abide by the "rules",
whatever I may think of their usefullness. So, that being said,
let's talk...
I am Mike, and Mike means Me!

I am bringing up a new ISP - Medio Multimedia's MedioNet! Medio Multimedia
has been producing award-winning CD-ROM titles for a bit now. And now
for something completely different: The hybrid realization of
MedioMagazine (the worlds foremost General Interest Magazine on CD-ROM) merged
with the Internet. Anybody wants more info - eMail me!
Suffice it to say, as part of this Grandest of Plans, we are bringing up
a very sophisticated Internet Services arm of the company. As such, we have
the same concerns as the rest of you - providing highly available services
for our customers. This neccisitates being overly concerned with the
security of our systems, especially since a good portion of them exist on
the OUTSIDE of the firewall! So, by joining this list, I hope to sponge all
the knowledge I can off y'all in the shortest amount of time. The goal
being, of course, to become an expert myself, so that I may return the
favor to the multitudes who are to follow (and who, by the number of
INTRO emails I've received over the past few days, grow significantly
each and every day!).
OK, there. I did it. Not that anybody really cares, but what the hey!
