I must admit I almost flamed the first person who did this but then I
read the intro (hey, who reads that stuff first anyway? Isnt is like
the instructions for the video ;-).

I have been lumbered with the security at our site probably because I
am supposed to be the techo-weirdo (which actually means I can manage
to compile stuff using make). We need to keep a check on our systems
mainly IMHO to keep people who have O.D.'d on the hollywood image of a
defence company (e.g. War Games & Sneakers) an think that cracking a
defence site will give them access to a lot of ]<OO1 military secrets.
Boy would they be disappointed with reality.

I am looking forward to picking up info about detecting intruders.

BTW We thank all those concerned for their interest in our company and
assure them that the nuclear armed ICBM's winging their way to them
are just an extra service provided to our more persistent customers.
We look forward to doing business with you in a future life.
(Apologies to Douglas Adams) - For those who do not know quite what
this is about, we had a significant increase in doorknocks on our
firewall just after I subscribed to this list. Could be coincidence
but I think not.
