As per the information page I would like to introduce myself. I am a System Administrator at ICSI (International Computer Science Institute) at Berkeley, California, USA. The institute is a research organization affiliated with the University of California at Berkeley. It consists of a lot of professors (Ph.D's), postdocs, students, and international visitors. They sit all day in front of computers (mostly Sun's) and work and work and work... and some of them do other stuff... At least that's my interpretation. The main areas of research are: Artificial Intelligence, Networks (ATM,video conferencing,etc...) They had a pretty impressive project whereby there was an inter-continental link between Germany and here (USA) using sound and video. Theory (lots of this...) Realization (making actual boards,processors,etc...) I am interested in all aspects of security. Currently, one of my projects is to set up a system of 10 dial-in lines to the institute and somehow make it secure... I just want to glean as much information as possible from the discussions of security from this group and hopefully improve my own understanding. Broaden my horizons you might say... -- Anderson Dang (To get my PGP Public Key: finger -l adang@ICSI.Berkeley.EDU)
